Obituary for Anna (Soles) Divine

Anna (Soles) Divine, of Greenfield, MO, went to her eternal Home on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the age of 78 years young.

She was born on July 26, 1939 to William and Dottie (McCloughn) Soles, the youngest of fourteen children, on the family ranch near Millboro, South Dakota. They lived there until she reached the age of twelve, then moving to Pierce City, MO with her mother. Anna attended school through her Junior year then finishing with her Senior year in Greenfield, MO. She started her work career at the phone company in Greenfield.

Anna enjoyed bowling, dancing, boating, waterskiing, camping, fishing, and golf. She was very active in her church family functions and many other organizations. With being musically inclined, she was taking accordion lessons the day of the brain aneurysm.

After retiring from the phone company in Branson, MO, she began traveling throughout the United States and went on five wonderful cruises with a very special companion, Dale Welch. Dale had taught Anna to cut stones and she became very proficient at it traveling to national gem shows, and showing and selling their creations at the shows.

Anna is survived by five sisters, Nellie Warner of Oregon, Ellen Goslin of Idaho, Helen Michel of California, Mary Hayford of Oregon, and Pearl Chambers of Florida; one brother, George Soles of South Dakota; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; William and Dottie Soles; her husbands, Melvin Watson, Ottis Culver, and Larry Divine; and seven brothers and sisters, Velma Wilch, Woodrow Soles, Frank Soles, Harold Soles, Ines Sharp, Lewis Soles, and Johnny Soles.

Sincere thanks to Dale Welch for being a wonderful companion and being a part of Anna’s life.
