Obituary for Estelle Lee Stewart

Estelle Lee Stewart, of Halltown, MO, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Lockwood, MO at the age of 94 years.

She was born on February 27, 1923 to John M. and Minnie (Combs) Stewart in Lawrence County, MO. Estelle was a graduate of Halltown High School, and a member of Hillside Baptist Church.

She spent most of her adult life in California, and retired from banking in 1985. At that time she returned to the Halltown area where she spent her remaining years.

Estelle was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John H. Stewart; two sisters, Drella B. Johnson and Martha Richardson; as well as a niece, Barbara Small.

She is survived by three nephews and their wives, Stewart and Lanell Richardson of Mt. Vernon, MO, Randall and Janet Richardson of Pelsor, AR, and Dale and Julie Richardson of Halltown, MO; as well as twenty great nieces and nephews, several cousins, and many wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Hillside Baptist Church in Springfield. Burial will follow in Rock Prairie Cemetery in Halltown. The family will receive friends on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. until service time in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rock Prairie Cemetery.
