Obituary for Mary Lee Hartley

Mary Lee Hartley, of Savannah, GA, formerly of Stockton, MO, departed this life on Saturday, November 25, 2017, in her home at the age of 66 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Hartley and Melissa Roberts; her brother, Austin Clate Daniel; her sister, Janie Adams; her son-in-law, Paxton Roberts; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five nieces; and one nephew.

Mary Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Fannie Daniel.

She was a child of God, baptized at an early age in the Lockwood Baptist Church, and later converted and was baptized at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Stockton.

Mary Lee graduated from Lockwood High School in 1969, and Burge School of Nursing in Springfield, MO in 1972.

Since an early age Mary Lee always knew she wanted to be a nurse, and was well respected by nurses, doctors, and patients alike. She worked at Fosters Nursing Home in Lebanon, Mo, Baxter Springs Memorial in Baxter Springs, KS, McCune Brooks Hospital, Carthage, MO, Lockwood Hospital and Nevada Regional Medical Center.

Mary Lee struggled for many years with Crohns disease and other health issues.

She was a loving and dedicated, daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother and nurse. Our lives were enriched by having her in our lives.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017, in Collins Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. Online condolences may be shared at www.greenfieldfuneralchapel.com. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
